These swivel-jointed rabbits date from ca. 1912 and were childhood toys of Honoria and Janet Livingston. Following the example set by their mother, Alice Delafield Clarkson Livingston (1872?1964), who gifted Clermont to the state of New York in 1962, Janet (1910?1972) and Honoria (1909?2000) also donated many childhood treasures to the state, including their copies of Beatrix Potter?s books and a pair of pull-toy horses.
