Haunted Full Moon Hike

Grafton Lakes State Park

Join us for a haunted full moon hike on Friday 10/30 beginning at 6PM! Enjoy a moonlit wander and learn a bit about the history of the park with an environmental educator on the eve of Halloween. This program is designed for ages 12 and up.

To pre-register, email graftonlakessp@parks.ny.gov no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday 10/29. Please be sure to include the date and program title in your email. For example, "October 30th Haunted Full Moon Hike. In your email, let us know how many people in your family group will be attending, first and last names, and phone numbers. Spots fill up quickly for this popular program!

Please note that programming capacity is limited to meet COVID-19 safety requirements. Additionally, masks must be worn by all participants for the entire duration of the program. Lastly, patrons must keep social distance of 6 feet from other family groups throughout the program.

View the moonrise over Pine Pond. Meet at Trailside Lodge. Bring a flashlight and picnic supper. (2 hours, 1 mile)

In a less familiar realm of sights and sounds, experience the changing colors and moods in the blending zone of dawn and dusk. Bring a flashlight and a picnic supper or snack. Sky gazing will follow evening programs if weather permits.

Pre-registration is required for each program by contacting the Humphrey Nature Center, 585-493-3682. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, all programs will follow social distancing and face covering guidelines. Face coverings are always required in the HNC and the WPL Museum.
