Full Moon Hike
Sunday, February 5, 2023 05:00 PM
Moreau Lake State Park
Join a Park Educator on a beginner
hike around Moreau Lake. If the clouds cooperate we'll get to enjoy the
splendor of the moon rising above the mountains! This hike is family friendly
and well-behaved dogs on a 6 foot or shorter leash are welcome. Dress for the
weather and bring micro-spikes or snowshoes; there are limited numbers of
micro-spikes to borrow and snowshoes to rent ($5 per pair) if
weather-appropriate- let us know if you need either when you sign up.
Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance- the earlier the better
as this is a popular program and it fills up quickly. The cost is $5 for adults
(18+) and $1 per child, payable by cash or check at the office upon your
arrival. To reserve your spot call or text 518-917-2174.

This new program is a leisurely
stroll setting out from the office parking lot and heading down to the beach,
stopping along the way to appreciate the sky. There will be no light
interference from the moon so if the sky is clear we will have a spectacular view
of the stars and visible planets. Bring binoculars if you've got them, we'll
have some to share as well. If you have a telescope, please bring it!
