Calling all night owls! The Albany Area Amateur Astronomers will have telescopes to give you a tour of the night sky during this free program held at the Deerfield Pavilion. Enter via the main entrance and follow signs to the program-- first left off the main entrance road. Please drive slowly in the park at night. 

All ages. 
Free program. No registration
Following Saturday is the Rain Date.

Step outside at night in the park! Join us for this full moon program as we hike through the park and talk about all things nighttime like nocturnal animals and what goes on outside while we sleep. We will be listening for nighttime animals, so being able to be quiet and listen is very important! Because of this, this program is recommended for ages 9+ to ensure everyone has a good experience. Please register ahead for this program by calling 518-279-1155.

Experience the Preserve after dark! Join Shayla, Hailey, and Dave for a 4-mile hike on carriage roads lit by moonlight. We walk at a brisk pace and there will be hills; some hiking experience is recommended. Leashed dogs are welcome. Max: 40 people. Cost: $4. RockefellerStateParkPreserve.org/events. Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association Monthly Star Party

Lake Taghkanic State Park
The Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association hosts a monthly stargazing party in the West Beach parking lot. Bring your own telescopes and binoculars or use those provided by our members. You will be asked to provide your license plate number and make/model car, so Park Management and Police have a record of who will be in park after hours. Walkway At Night

Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park
The Friends of the Walkway nonprofit organization is pleased to offer the opportunity to enjoy amazing Hudson Valley views after dark from 212 feet above the Hudson River at Walkway at Night. With the moon hanging high in the sky and the Mid-Hudson Bridge twinkling in the distance, there is truly nothing like a twilight evening on the World's Longest Elevated Pedestrian Bridge. Our friends from the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association will be on-bridge with telescopes to view the night sky (weather permitting). Everyone must reserve a ticket for entry at walkway.org/walkwayatnight. Walkway members are welcome to attend at no cost. Non-members can register for $5.
