Help the Park Naturalist study the frogs that live in Saratoga Spa State Park! We will learn many different frog calls before walking through the wetlands in search of the amphibians. Please bring a flashlight and dress for wet ground. Icy conditions will cancel the event. Registration is required. Please call (518) 584-2000 Ext. 116 to register.

Children and their families are invited to help release brown trout into Geyser Creek, located in the Geyser Picnic Area of Saratoga Spa State Park.

Technicians from the Van Hornesville Fish Hatchery, operated by the Department of Environmental Conservation, stock the area streams each year with the help of volunteers. Please bring a bucket and join us in introducing the trout to their new home! This year’s activities include demonstrations and displays. This event is free. No registration is required for this event. For more information, please call 584-2000.

Volunteer Project #1: Trail clean-up: general trash and debris clean up along various trails throughout the park
Meeting Location: Administration building
Please bring: Garden gloves, water, suncreen & insect repellent

Volunteer Project #2: Flower Beds and Tree Planting: prep and planting of Administration Building's flower beds with annuals. Dig holes and plant young trees in various areas of the park.
Meeting Location: Administration Building.
Please bring: Garden gloves, garden spades, trowels, rakes, water, snack

Volunteer Project #3: Dog Park Clean-Up and Maintenance: remove debris and leaves from dog park, fill holes, level uneven areas, etc.
Meeting Location: Dog Park - 10 Crescent St
Please bring: Garden gloves, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, garden wagons, water, snack
