Come join us for a Sunset Hike at Rockwood Hall for what we hope will be a spectacular view over the Hudson and the Tappan Zee Bridge.

SUBJECT TO NY STATE COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS: Maximum 30 PARTICIPANTS ONLY

Face coverings are required at all events as is 6 feet social distancing. Please dress according to weather conditions. Please bring water. We will gather at the main Kiosk. We will leave ON TIME. Parking lot is right below Phelps Hospital, off 117. Across the street from the parking lot is the path that leads up to the park. Leashed-dogs welcome. In case of bad conditions, event may be cancelled, please watch for notices from Eventbrite, this can include overcast skies when we know there will be no visible sunset. Every Tuesday, 9am – 11:30am, the Stewardship Team gathers to work on a wide range of activities including, habitat restoration, animal rescue, checking/setting trail cams, as well as trail maintenance and clean up! There is always something different to work on whether removing invasive plant species to make room for natives to grow, maintaining existing native habitat, assisting in lantings, or clearing debris from trails. Whatever the case may be, it is always better (and much more fun) to work in a group! Everyone welcome to join and be a part of this vital team. Please join us every Tuesday from 9:00am to 11:30am.

Please be sure to wear suitable clothing (long pants are a must) for working outdoors. At times, we will be going off trail and into tall grass. Please bring with you water and gloves if you have your own. Gloves will be provided, but supplies may be limited. COVID RULES ARE STRICTLY FOLLOWED. PLEASE BRING FACE COVER

Come join Flora Steward, Devyani Mishra, on a walk around the Swan Lake area as she teaches participants about trees and other plants in the area and providing tips on how to identify. SUBJECT TO NY STATE COVID- 19 RESTRICTIONS. Maximum 15 PARTICIPANTS ONLY. Meet in the park courtyard outside the office.

Every month we give hikers an opportunity to experience the Preserve after dark in our "Full Moon Hike" series. Please join us for this very popular and special event.

Please bring a flashlight or headlamp. Please dress according to weather conditions. Please bring water. Dogs welcome. Meet park office courtyard. IMPORTANT: We leave promptly at scheduled times. This is a night hike, after the park has officially closed. Late-comers will not be allowed to enter the park after the group has departed.
