Group tours may also be scheduled year-round by prior arrangement; please call Jackie Roshia at (315) 655-3200, est. 106, for availability and more information.  Grounds are open year-round from dawn to dusk including the formal garden and Dark Aisle Arboretum.

Tour fees:  Adults. $5; Seniors, $4; students, $4.  Groups of 12 or more with 2-week advance notice, $4 per person.  Children 12 and under, free.  Friends of Lorenzo members receive free admission.

Please join us Memorial Day weekend, May 26 & 27, from 10 am to 3 pm for the 15th Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, NY. We are proud to have the U. S. Navy Blue Angels as the headliner this year. We are also excited to have joining the Blue Angels, the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds, the U. S. Army Golden Knights parachute team and the U. S. Air Force F22 Raptor. Returning to our shores are Sean Tucker and Team Oracle, Screamin' Sasquatch presented by John Klatt Airshows, Matt Chapman, the GEICO Skytypers, American Air Power Museum Warbirds, and David Windmiller. There will also be an appearance by the B17 Yankee Lady. Besides the show in the sky there will be military recruiters and displays from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard along the boardwalk from the West Bathouse to the East Bathouse joined by food and merchandise vendors. Lecture: Declaration of Independence: Senior Historian Michael Sheehan will present an illustrated talk on the proceedings of Congress in early 1776, featuring the parts played by John Adams, Ben Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson in writing the Declaration of Independence at 2pm.

Reading of the Declaration by a costumed interpreter at 2:45pm.

Artillery drill and firing demonstration at 3pm.

Path Through History Weekend

Across New York State various cultural institutions, historic sites, museums and communities will celebrate their heritage!

We will be conducting a Scavenger Hunt for those interested in exploring the site and discovering all that it has to offer. Complete the hunt and be entered into a prize drawing. Contact the site for more information and pick up a copy of the scavenger hunt booklet.

On Saturday, June 17th there will be a History & Hearsay tour of the site starting at 3pm at the Visitor Center. The tour lasts approx. 90 minutes and proper footwear for walking on grassy trails is suggested.

Gates open at 10:00 am. Grand entry is about noon each day and then Opening Prayer followed by the posting of the colors (flags). Event will include veterans honor dance, intertribal dancing, Aztec dancing, Iroquois Social Dancing, and more. The public is invited to join in and have fun.

Metis Nation North America-Canadian Bands encourage all veterans to come and be honored at the Veterans Dance. We will honor all firefighters and paramedics also. All handicapped spectators, nursing home residents and children under 5 years of age are free.

Do you know all the legends and history of Clermont? Campers age 12-15 will take a deeper look at Clermont's past through research and exploration of the house and grounds. Throughout the week, students will work with Clermont staff on a creative project to present to parents at the end fo the week- prose, a skit, a painting, a comic, or an exhibit.​

Plein Air Painting Workshop: Artist Beth Rundquist at Shady Glen Farm

This four day and three-night painting workshop will focus on developing and expanding skills of drawing, composition, and painting through keen observation of nature en plein air at Olana State Historic Site. Olana offers endless inspirational vistas, views, and vignettes to choose from all under the guidance of master painter Beth Runquist. Participants will be in a special “residency status” at Olana and will stay in an expansive and beautifully situated, privately owned farmhouse (with only painters in residence). In this way participants will step further into the Hudson River School atmosphere by eating, living and painting immersed in the local Hudson Valley culture. Shady Glen Farm has been in one family for nearly a century and offers private room comfort, meals provided by talented regional chefs (including from “Blue Hill” at Stone Barns), a swimming pool, walking trails, stone terraces and a rooftop deck for relaxing at the end of the day. Participants will receive site demonstrations, active teaching, and critique will be part of every day to expand experience and benefits.
