The Walkway over the Hudson State Historic Park has been an enormous success and a wonderful resource. One important amenity to the Walkway that is being progressed is an elevator that would serve those wishing to access the Walkway on the eastern shoreline of the Hudson.
The proposed location of the elevator is in close proximity to the Train Station and the Children's museum.
The purposes of this information meeting are (1) to present concept plans for the elevator and (2) to take comments and suggestions on the proposal.
The informational meeting will be held on Thursday, September 2nd, 2010 in the Auditorium of the Taconic Regional Headquarters for State Parks. The address is 9 Old Post Road, Staatsburg, 12580. The meeting will begin at 7 PM.
If you are not able to attend the meeting and wish to provide comments on the elevator proposal, you may provide them by September 16th to:
