OPRHP Kicks off Master Planning Project for Governor Alfred E. Smith/Sunken Meadow State Park

The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) Long Island Region will be holding a public information meeting regarding the preparation of a Draft Master Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Sunken Meadow State Park. OPRHP encourages the public to participate in the planning efforts for the park and welcomes all comments and suggestions. OPRHP staff will make a brief presentation about the master planning process and the park and receive public comments. An information packet is available at:

All persons interested in Sunken Meadow State Park are urged to attend; those who cannot may submit written comments by April 4, 2011 to:
