Bear Mountain is primarily a day-use park. Accessible by car and bus, the park features an extensive system of pedestrian and hiking trails, including the first segment of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail and a key segment of the Long Path. On National Trails Day 2011 the half mile All Persons Trail loop was opened atop Bear Mountain. The completely ADA compliant trail meanders through the wooded summit to a spectacular view of the Hudson River Valley. Handicap parking available at the trail head.
