Located near the swimming pool complex in Fort Niagara State Park, and just down the road from the Old Fort Niagara State Historic Site, the Fort Niagara Nature Center is housed in what was the fire hall for Fort Niagara.


The center is open seasonally, offering outdoor and nature-based education programming and weekly themes. Exhibits within the nature center cover topics from local wildlife, to fish, plants, and invasive species. Stop by during normal business hours to talk with a park naturalist, participate in fun activities, and to learn more about our natural surroundings!

Visitors are welcome and encouraged to stop by July – August, Thursday – Sunday, from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

No pets permitted inside the nature center.

    • Open seasonally - July 4th through Labor Day
    • Thursday-Sunday, 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
    • Outdoor education programs are available upon request
    • Fees may apply

  • No fee applies for entrance into the Nature Center
    No fee applies for public programs unless otherwise included in program description

    Group Programs available upon request:
    5-30 participants = $45
    31-60 participants = $90
    61-100 participants = $150

    *Each additional person over 100 is $1.00 each
