The Creekside Classroom is a four-season environmental education center located in the heart of Saratoga Spa State Park. The Classroom sits on the bank of Geyser Creek and provides a central location to explore the park's unique resources, including naturally spouting mineral springs, twelve miles of forested trails, playgrounds and a large picnic area. Park staff offer environmental education programs year-round, including school field trips, hikes, tours and snowshoe walks.

The Classroom features an outdoor fire pit, indoor woodstove, bird feeder viewing area and interpretive signage, as well as a projector and screen for presentations. It is available for use by schools, clubs and non-profits. Mineral Springs TourJoin a docent on a guided mineral springs tour to learn about the history, geology and lore surrounding our special waters! No registration necessary. This is a free event and meets at the Creekside Classroom.

Pet Rock Turkey Craft

Visit the Creekside Classroom to create a pet rock turkey for your Thanksgiving table! All materials will be provided. Children's books will also be available to read by the fire.

Let’s Bird Together!

Visit the Creekside Classroom any time between 10AM and 12PM to watch the birds while sipping hot cocoa! You can make a bird feeder to take home too! Bird-themed coloring pages will be available. Binoculars and bird identification tools will be available for use. This is an indoor program. This program will take place on Friday, November 15th and 22nd. This program completes the NYS Centennial Challenge For the Birds Mission.

Meet Coesa Spring!

Visit the newly restored Coesa Spring House, completed in partnership with the Friends of Saratoga Spa State Park and Parks & Trails NY. This area features a restored spring house, a new patio area with benches and a fountain handmade by a local sculptor. Come try the famous water and enjoy the view! This guided walk will be approximately one mile long. Cups will be provided for tasting Coesa Spring.
