School, youth organizations, and special interest groups can make arrangements for educational programs and hikes at any of the State Parks on Long Island by calling (631) 581-1072 or emailing us at LIEnvironmentaled@parks.ny.gov.
School programs can be adapted to your curriculum and subjects vary from beach and pond studies, how animals prepare for winter, creature creations (adaptations), to Geology. These are just a few of the many exciting educational programs for schools we offer.
The youth group programs assist with scout forestry, nature, and hiking badges just to name a few.
Come to our education center at Connetquot and discover the unique plants and animals in the pine barrens or have our staff meet you at a nearby State Park to explore their habitats.
The programs can be made accessible to the Physically Challenged.
In addition there are Fun for Kids Activities, Family Adventure Programs, and Adult Ed-ventures for the general public at several State Parks. Check specific parks at the links above.
