Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park

Everyone is welcome to participate in the twenty-fourth annual Yuletide Celebration at Bayard Cutting Arboretum. Join us in a sing-a-long of traditional holiday carols while awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. Upon his arrival, Santa will light the tree for the 2020 holiday season. Hot beverages will be served outside after Santa lights the tree. All activities will take place outside so dress accordingly. The Manor House will not be open. In the spirit of giving, please bring canned goods or a new, unwrapped toy for those in need in our community.

Belmont Lake State Park

Patrons walk through a winter wonderland on their way to the main area for the tree lighting on the front lawn of the Headquarters Building. In addition to the holiday music and tree lighting by Santa Claus there is an ice sculptor, juggler, refreshments and fireworks. The public can also visit with Santa inside the lobby of the Headquarters Building.

Orient Beach State Park

It is a joyous occasion when more than 300 visitors come to "Light Up the Season" at the thirty-third annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Orient Beach State Park. The tree is lit by Santa and he is available for pictures afterwards. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. In the spirit of the season the Park will be collecting winter coats and non-perishable food items for families in need.

Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park

The Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park annual Holiday Tree Lighting begins with the Carolers singing on the south side of the Camelia Greenhouse awaiting Santa Claus' arrival to light the holiday tree. Patrons can view the first floor of Coe Hall's exquisite interior and enjoy the view of the spectacular poinsettia display in the main greenhouse and meet Santa in the Hay Barn or enjoy refreshments in the café.

Under the cover of darkness with only candles to light the way, come learn about the Manor Hall and the Dutch traditions that the Philipse family observed during the holidays in the 1700's. Discover the origins of many different modern holiday traditions while also viewing nearly 250 years of the evolution of decorations at the Manor done by the Morsemere Garden Club.
