Landscape Highlights: A walking tour of Clermont’s grounds

Have you ever walked the grounds and wondered what the ruins once were? Or why there are two driveways? What's with all the cottages? Led by Clermont's staff, this moderate walking tour will take you to sites of interest all over the property. A great introduction to the property and the history of Clermont!

Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.

There is no charge to attend the program, but visitors must register in advance on Eventbrite. Attendance will be limited to aid in social distancing.

Follow in the footsteps of the Livingston sisters, Janet and Honoria, as we explore some of the girls' favorite places to play and explore. A gentle walk for families with treats.

Whether there's snow on the ground or not, it's always a good time for some winter stories! Join one of Clermont's costumed interpreters as they read a seasonal story in person or on Facebook live. Be sure to bundle up!

And that one of those daughters went on to write poetry of her own? Join Clermont interpreters, in person or on Facebook live, as they read the words of the people who lived in this house. Come sit around the fire with Henry Beekman Livingston as he talks about his experience of the hard winter at Valley Forge. Listen to his pleas to anyone who listen, for clothes and food for his men. Find out his thoughts on the mysterious Baron von Steuben when he arrived in camp.
