On Saturday Aug 25 and Sunday Aug 26, Fort Ontario State Historic Site in Oswego, NY, will host a Revolutionary War encampment featuring living history demonstrations and three battle reenactments. An event highlight will be a 10:30 AM Saturday Continental Army attack on a British outpost in Washington Park in the City of Oswego, followed by a fighting retreat up East 4th Street to the gates of the British-held fort. A full scale `Assault on the Fort' by rebel forces will also be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, and 1:00 PM on Sunday.

On Saturday at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, and Sunday at 12:00 PM, Liaisons Plaisantes, a group of reenactor-musicians from the Mohawk Valley, will perform music of the 18th century in one of the fort's cave-like underground casemates. The Oneida Great Peace Living Historians Group will conduct a program on their beliefs and traditions in the Continental Army camp on Saturday at 1:00 PM, and Sunday at 11:00 AM. A Fashion show describing clothing and uniforms of soldiers, officers, women, and children of the 18th century will be held in front of the Enlisted Men's Barracks at 4:00 PM on Saturday.

From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, Historian Shari Crawford will introduce children to 18th Century Toys and Games. Living history expert Paul Supley will interpret the role of an 18th century physician and surgeon, and display reproduction and original 18th century medical tools, equipment, medicines, and treatments.
