Juneteenth Celebration and Barbecue

John Brown Farm State Historic Site
At John Brown Farm from noon- 4pm there will be a celebration with presentations, a book talk, and a barbecue from 1-3pm, a book talk at 1:45pm by Historian and Author Amy Godine, and a Gospel Choir at 3pm. There is no entry fee for John Brown Farm; the barbecue is $8/person.

A Colors of Freedom mini-tour of the Keeseville area organized by the North Country Underground Railroad Historical Association starting at the North Star URR Museum will end at John Brown Farm. Registration for the tour is available online

The Celebration organized by Friends Group John Brown Lives!, and Lake Placid Public Library, with John Brown Farm, will include a presentation by children's book author and illustrator team Lesa Cline-Ransome and James Ransome! Their book "Before She Was Harriet" will be installed as a STORYWALK® by Lake Placid Public Library, and there will be activities geared for young visitors.
