Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site
Come celebrate the Anniversary of the Battle of Stony Point with us! Reenactors from multiple groups will be on hand including the 2nd NY Regiment and Lamb's Artillery. Musket and artillery demonstrations will be held throughout the day.
In addition, Carpenter Scott Lance will be here demonstrating the skills needed to
create everyday items essential to life during the American Revolution and Historian Tom Hunt will have displays of common medicines made in the home using herbs and plants available during the 18th century.

2nd New York Regiment Encampment

Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site
The 2nd New York Regiment recreates the unit as they appeared in 1775. Camp life and day-to-day military activities will be on display, and the soldiers will be drilling and
firing muskets throughout the day. The public can engage with the 2nd New York to learn about the lives of the soldiers during the early years of the war, including the unit's involvement in Canada in 1775.

Spencer’s Additional Regiment Encampment

Raised as an auxiliary force for General Washington's Continental Army in 1777,
Spencer's Additional Regiment was a part of the New Jersey Brigade throughout the war. The members of this reenactment regiment will take up residence in our Soldiers' Camp by the museum and explain the unit's fascinating history, perform drills and fire muskets throughout the day. The unit served at the American garrison at Stony Point in 1780
during the Benedict Arnold treason affair and trial in Tappan, NY.

A Casualty of Betrayal: The David S. Franks Story. Benedict Arnold's two aides — Richard Varick and David Franks — are suspected of colluding with him in his treason. Varick goes on to eventually become mayor of NYC; what happens to David Franks is revealed in this play. Please call 845-786-2521 for a reservation and plan to arrive by 1:45 for seating for this very popular performing duo. The program will be held outdoors unless there is inclement weather, in which case indoor seating will be limited to the first 30
recorded reservations.

Site Interpreter Joanne Stein-Kohler has studied the Jewish experience in the years leading up to and after the American Revolution through the lens of Rebecca Franks, the "Jewish Belle" of Philadelphia. Miss Franks married Lt. Col. Henry Johnson, the British officer who lost the battle of Stony Point to General Anthony Wayne. Rebecca Franks was distantly related to David S. Franks, the
