Fahnestock State Park (Clarence Fahnestock)
Work with Friends of Fahnestock and Hudson Highlands State Parks and experienced gardeners from the Philipstown Garden Club to help rehabilitate the Ann Odell Butterfly Garden at Hubbard Lodge. There will be a range of activities for experienced gardeners and novices alike, including potting perennial seedlings, spring cleanup of paths and beds, planting annuals that attract butterflies, and continued preparation of existing overgrown beds. We will have some gardening tools, but please bring your own if you have them. We recommend long sleeves, long pants, sun hat, and covered shoes (encountering poison ivy is possible). Recommended for ages 13+. Please bring a refillable water bottle, your enthusiasm, and muscle for a wonderful day outdoors.
