Walk back in time as we visit the Copake Iron Works and walk the Iron Workers Trail. Learn about how the iron production influenced the forest and how the forest helped shape the Ironworks. Our Park educator will take you through a brief history of the Copake Iron Works and development of the Park you see today, while we learn a little about the natural world around us. Free Event.

Earth Day is a time to get together! Learn how nature and our communities can stay healthy! Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Wellness for us, means wellness for the earth. We will have a few vendors, a food truck or two, informational groups that involve conservation and health/wellness in our local communities. Or just come out for some fun in the sun. Want to brush up on some Bicycle Safety? Get ready for the season? Or get your kiddos ready for riding? Join the Columbia County Sheriffs, Department of Health, and Taconic State Park on this Bicycle Safety Course! Then take what you've learned out onto the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. Don't have a bicycle? Rentals may be available at Bash Bish Bicycle, adjacent to the Park. Public Event, Free of charge.
