Two Stunning Views Snowshoe Outing
Sunday, February 25, 2018 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Minnewaska State Park Preserve
(845) 255-0752

Not a morning person? Then, join a park educator for this two-mile-long, afternoon snowshoe outing in the Peter's Kill Area of Minnewaska. Our route, which does include a few modestly challenging hills, will feature views of the Rondout Valley and Clove Valley from cliff top ledges. This program is recommended for physically fit adults and children older than eight years old. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. A limited number of snowshoes are available for participants to borrow for this program from the education department, located at the Peter's Kill Area. Otherwise, snowshoes may be rented from the Park Preserve Office, located at the Peter's Kill Area, for $5 per person for this program. Early arrival is suggested if you would like to borrow snowshoes. If there is insufficient snow cover, this program will be offered as a hike. Meet in the Peter's Kill Area. Pre-registration is required by calling Minnewaska at 845-255-0752.
