Join us for a special afternoon designed exclusively for our members! Be among the first to experience a seldom seen portion of the Second Engagement during a guided tour, followed by a memorable evening of history and community. Event Highlights Include: Off-site guided tour of The Rocky Ridge, Presentation by historian Eric Schnitzer, Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments, Live music, Silent auction and raffle, $35 for not-yet members (includes membership) or $10 for current members. Please RSVP to reserve your spot, and we appreciate you becoming a member of the Friends of the Bennington Battlefield! We look forward to sharing this unforgettable experience with you! Deadline to RSVP is September 10, 2025. Schedule of the day: 1:00 pm: Hikers for the Rocky Ridge assemble at the Barnett House (30 Caretakers Road) to caravan to the location, 2:30 pm: Light refreshments served at the Barnet House, 3:00 pm: Historian Eric Schnitzer presents "Grasshoppers and Butterflies Reconsidered: British Light 3 Pounders of the 1770's", 4:00 - 5:30 pm: Reception and refreshments, with live music from Martha VonSchilgen. Drawing for raffle baskets and photograph silent auction winning bid announced.
