Tuesday Trek: Gertrude’s Nose via the Most Scenic Route

Saturday, August 15, 2020 09:30 AM - 02:00 PM

Join Sarah LaLumiere, SCA/AmeriCorp Member, for this approximately six-mile long hike on the Lake Minnewaska and Millbrook Mountain Carriage Roads and the stunning Gertrude's Nose Footpath. Considered one of the most outstanding hikes in the entire Hudson Valley, this cliff-edge, wildly scenic route does not disappoint, featuring panoramic views of landmarks as far away as High Point State Park in New Jersey. We'll hike out to Gertrude's Nose, a cliff promontory, and then double our pleasure by continuing back along the same gorgeous route. Due to COVID protocols, the total number of participants for this program is limited to nine individuals. All participants must wear face coverings or keep a minimum six foot distance away from others who are not part of your immediate household. Meet at the Minnewaska Nature Center. Pre-registration is required by calling Minnewaska at 845-255-0752.
