Tuesday Trek: Peter’s Kill Area Loop Hike at Minnewaska

Join Laura Conner, Environmental Educator, for an approximately two-and-a-half-mile hike in the Peter's Kill Area. This scenic route features nearly panoramic views of the Rondout Valley and Park Preserve from atop a rocky knoll, while this quiet area offers a different, more remote experience of Minnewaska. Featuring all the footpaths found in this area, we'll enjoy a loop hike that includes ascents and descents, rocky and rooty surfaces and potentially slippery areas. Participants are encouraged to bring micro spikes or other ice traction devices and to dress appropriately for the cold. Meet at the Peter's Kill Area, 5080 Route 44/55, Gardiner, New York. Pre-registration is required by calling the Lake Minnewaska Visitor Center at 845-255-0752.
