Learn to Swim

Monday, July 16, 2018 until Thursday, July 26, 2018

The NY State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, through Robert H. Treman State Park in Ithaca, NY, announces their first-ever Learn To Swim Program for area children ages 5 through 12 years. This program is free to the public. Space is limited so participants must register in advance. Registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The free program will run Monday through Thursday for two weeks. Participants can register for morning (11 am – 12 pm) or afternoon (12pm to 1pm) classes. New swimmers and a Parent or Guardian are expected to attend every session during the 8-day class, and participants will receive a "Learn to Swim" Certificate upon completion.

Learn to Swim encourages youth fitness, improves water safety outcomes, and will offer children – who may not otherwise have access to quality swimming instruction – a chance to learn a sport which they may have a natural talent for. For more information or to request a registration form, please visit or call the Robert H. Treman State Park office at 607-273-3440
