The Great Backyard Bird Count

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society encourages people to count wintering bird populations in specific areas. Scientists use this data to help understand where populations of birds are in winter, declines, increases etc. It's a very successful and fun citizen science project...all birds observed will be entered into EBird databases. Roundtrip walk of 3 miles. Bring binoculars.
