2025 First Day Hike – Avon (Erie-Attica Parking lot off of Rt 5)

Ring in the New Year exploring the Erie-Attica Trail and Genesee Valley Greenway State Park on a self-guided hike! Stop by for a hot dog, snacks, beverages, and a warm fire! This easy, 2+ mile round-trip hike welcomes all ages and leashed pets. Severe weather updates can be found on the park's Facebook page. Please dress weather-appropriate, and feel free to bring snowmobiles, snowshoes, or skis if there is snow. Participate in the statewide Martin Luther King Jr. Food Drive by bringing a non-perishable food item to the meet-up location. Porta-jon onsite.
