2025 First Day Hike – Town of York (York Landing Parking Area)

This event offers three starting points for a hike that will all end with a delicious lunch and campfire celebration at the York Landing Parking Area at 12:15 pm. All hikes will showcase unique views of farmland, forest, and the Genesee River. Piffard, Rt 63 – Yard of Ale restaurant parking lot (3226 Genesee St, Piffard 14533) – hike north 2.8 miles, Fowlerville, Fowlerville Rd (coordinates: 42.891654, -77.823686) – hike south 2.6 miles, York, York Landing Parking Area (coordinates: 42.864631, -77.851023) – hike north/south The hikes range from 2 to 6 miles and are open to all ages and leashed pets. Severe weather updates can be found on the park's Facebook page. Please dress weather-appropriate, and feel free to bring snowmobiles, snowshoes, or skis if there is snow. Participate in the statewide Martin Luther King Jr. Food Drive by bringing a non-perishable food item to the meet-up location. If you're too full to walk back to your starting point, a ride can be arranged from one of the cohosts. Porta-jon available onsite.
