Afternoon Sun Hike at Sam’s Point

Join Madison Cannella, Student Conservation Association/Americorps Education and Stewardship Assistant, for an interpretive hike on Loop Road. We'll hike up the west side of Loop Road and around Lake Maratanza, with the Sam's Point Vista being our last stop, for golden hour conditions. Most of the terrain on this three-mile hike is fairly level, but there are some short, steep sections. Please bring a snack, water, and appropriate clothing for the weather. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring micro spikes or other ice traction devices. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. If there is sufficient snow cover, this program will be offered as a snowshoe outing. Snowshoes are available to rent at a discounted price of $5 per person at the Visitor Center. Meet at the Sam's Point Visitor Center. Pre-registration is required by signing up via Eventbrite.
