Beginners Nature Photography Night with Columbia Land Conservancy

Saturday, October 16, 2021 04:00 PM - 05:30 PM

Join the Columbia Land Conservancy and local photographer, Robert Gilson, for a special evening exploring Olana through a new lens. During this walk and workshop, participants will learn more about nature photography techniques while taking snapshots and connecting Olana's artist designed landscape. Please bring your own digital camera and/or smart phone with a camera. During this program, participants will walk about 1 mile along Olana's carriage roads; please wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather. Ages 12 and up. $5/free for Olana and CLC members.

Robert Gilson has an MFA in photography from the Visual Studies Workshop, formerly a satellite program of SUNY Buffalo. His photographs have been exhibited and published in the U.S. and Europe. Through his photographs, Robert's goal is to convey the magic that happens in the natural world. Outdoor Exposure, Columbia Land Conservancy's photography club, meets monthly, with members taking part in photography challenges, visiting Public Conservation Areas, and learning new skills. For more than thirty years, the Columbia Land Conservancy has worked to inspire our community to more deeply connect with, respect, and protect the natural world.
