A Sky That Sings is the new book by Anita Sanchez and George Steele.
Join us as Anita offers this presentation about bird songs and their
calls. You'll hear their music and Anita
will discuss common birds to our region.
Anita Sanchez is an award-winning author of books on environmental
science and nature for children and adults. She worked for many years as an
environmental educator for the New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation at education centers across the state, teaching classes and
developing curricula for thousands of students. Sanchez is now a free-lance
educator, providing programs for schools, libraries, and museums as well as
botanical gardens and arboreta. Years of field work and teaching outdoor
classes have given her firsthand experience in introducing students of all ages
to the joys of nature. Join us for a brief Friends of Schoharie Crossing meeting followed by a
wonderful presentation. Free and open to
the public. Refreshments will be available.
