Sky that Sings with Anita Sanchez

Tuesday, June 24, 2025 06:30 PM - 07:30 PM

A Sky That Sings is the new book by Anita Sanchez and George Steele. Join us as Anita offers this presentation about bird songs and their calls. You'll hear their music and Anita will discuss common birds to our region. Anita Sanchez is an award-winning author of books on environmental science and nature for children and adults. She worked for many years as an environmental educator for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation at education centers across the state, teaching classes and developing curricula for thousands of students. Sanchez is now a free-lance educator, providing programs for schools, libraries, and museums as well as botanical gardens and arboreta. Years of field work and teaching outdoor classes have given her firsthand experience in introducing students of all ages to the joys of nature. Join us for a brief Friends of Schoharie Crossing meeting followed by a wonderful presentation. Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available.
