RAMBLE WALKING TOUR: UNCOVERING ALBANY’S BEAVER CREEK

Saturday, September 27, 2025 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Join City Historian, Anthony Opalka, and a representative from the city's water department for an encore presentation of a walk/talk of Albany's Beaver Creek. While construction on Lincoln Park is underway and the original path of Beaver Creek has been daylighted to some extent, this is the perfect time to discuss the use of Beaver Creek in the 17th and 18th centuries and to discuss the evolution of the city and its effects on waterways. We will follow the original path of Beaver Creek and discuss how it has been redirected by humans over time. The talk begins at Schuyler Mansion, in the Visitors Center. Space is limited. Call the museum to register: 518-434-0834.
