248 years ago, the British Army conquered the New York City area in a sweeping campaign with a handful of hair-raising battles, testing out the Continental Army for the first time. Site Historian Michael J. F. Sheehan will present a lecture with maps and illustrations on this gripping and dangerous year of the American Revolution, when the cause was almost lost.
