Established as a passive-use park in 1999 from a gift from James and Helen McNitt, this 133-acre park straddles both Chard and East Lake Roads in Cazenovia N.Y. It features beautiful hardwood and pine forested upland hills, farm fields and 1300 feet of shoreline, mostly wetland, along with quiet, picturesque, Cazenovia Lake. Designed to provide limited parking and lake access through the non-wetland shoreline areas, visitors will enjoy fishing, bird watching, wildlife viewing and launching of car-top boats (no trailers allowed).
Pet Policy: A maximum of two pets are allowed in day use areas unless prohibited by sign or directive. Pets are to be supervised at all times and either be crated or on a leash not more than 6-feet in length. Proof of rabies inoculation shall be produced if requested by staff. Pets are not permitted in playgrounds, buildings, golf courses, boardwalks, pools and spray-grounds or guarded beaches (this does not apply to service animals).
