Restrooms Closed for Winter

Please be advised that the restrooms are closed for the winter and will reopen in the spring. The only year round restroom facility in Harriman State Park is located at Silvermine.


Burn Ban

Please be advised that a burn ban is currently in effect as of Friday, 11/1. Open flames of any kind, including ground fires and campfires, are prohibited. Please note that this ban does not include barbecue grills in designated picnic areas (Anthony Wayne, Silvermine, Tiorati and Kanawauke.)

Restrooms Closed

Restrooms are closed for the winter and will reopen by the end of April. The only restroom in Harriman State Park that is available year round is located at Silvermine Picnic Area.

The Anthony Wayne Recreation Area of Harriman State Park lies in a wooded valley. Facilities include picnic areas with fireplaces, playing fields and cross-country ski and hiking trails.

Amplified music by permit only.

Dogs only, must be on a leash not more than 6 feet at all times. Not allowed in buildings or beach/bathing areas. Must display rabies tag. Not permitted in the following areas of Harriman State Park: Beaver Pond Campground, Welch Beach, Sebago Cabins.
