This project will improve habitat value and views of the Niagara River along the West River Shoreline Trail through selective control of non-native plant species. The work is being performed between Long Road and Alt Road on Grand Island, between the West River Shoreline Trail and the Niagara Rivers water edge. Initial cutting and chipping of plants is now finished from Long Road to Alt Boulevard. Follow up treatments are planned for this summer between Staley Road and Alt Boulevard. Restoration
