Westcott Beach State Park is a popular day-use and camping park on Lake Ontario, with rolling, wooded hills and open, grassy meadows sheltered by Henderson Bay. It offers restful campsites located on a bluff, from which the view is spectacular. A small marina is adjacent to the long, sandy beach to accommodate anglers interested in Lake Ontario's excellent black bass fishing. The park also has a children's playground, picnic areas and hiking trails that do winter duty for cross-country skiing.

Must have proof of current rabies vaccination - certificate inoculation or dated collar tag. Household pets only, caged or on a leash, not more than 6 feet. Not permitted in picnic or bathing areas. For campers, if your site allows pets, there is a two-pet maximum.

  • Open from early-May through Columbus Day.

    Main Beach: 11 am - 7 pm (Mon-Thur) / 10 am - 7 pm (Fri-Sun)
    South Beach: 11 am - 6 pm (Fri-Sun)
  • 2018 Camping/Cabin Season: 5/18 - 9/2
  • Boat Dockage (Transient): 5/18 - 9/2
    Chaumont Boat Launch Site: Boat Launch open year round from dawn to dusk daily
  • Shelter Rental: 5/18 - 9/3, by permit
  • Waterfowl hunting is permitted in season by permit only.

Fees & Rates

Most New York State Parks charge a vehicle use fee to enter the facility. Fees vary by location and season. A list of entry fees and other park use fees is available below. For fees not listed or to verify information, please contact the park directly.
