Restrooms Closed

Restrooms are closed for the winter and will reopen by the end of April. The only restroom in Harriman State Park that is available year round is located at Silvermine Picnic Area.


Seasonal Road Closures

The following roads are now closed from December 1st to April 1st: • Palisades Interstate Parkway, Exit 16 - Lake Welch Drive and Tiorati Brook Rd • Perkins Memorial Drive at Bear Mountain State Park • Rt 106 from Rt 17 to Kanawauke Traffic Circle (you can still access the Kanawauke Picnic Area from the traffic circle) Access to the park is still available from Seven Lakes Drive in Sloatsburg, as well as Exits 15 and 18 off the Palisades Parkway. NEW: Arden Valley Rd will remain open this year.

The Anthony Wayne Recreation Area of Harriman State Park lies in a wooded valley. Facilities include picnic areas with fireplaces, playing fields and cross-country ski and hiking trails.

Amplified music by permit only.

Dogs only, must be on a leash not more than 6 feet at all times. Not allowed in buildings or beach/bathing areas. Must display rabies tag. Not permitted in the following areas of Harriman State Park: Beaver Pond Campground, Welch Beach, Sebago Cabins.
