Pet Policy

A maximum of two pets are allowed in day use areas unless prohibited by sign or directive. Pets are to be supervised at all times and either be crated or on a leash not more than 6-feet in length. Proof of rabies inoculation shall be produced if requested by staff. Pets are not permitted in playgrounds, buildings, golf courses, boardwalks, pools and spray-grounds or guarded beaches (this does not apply to service animals).

Please Note

Swimming and hunting are not permitted.

No Amplified Music

No amplified noise allowed. No DJ booth set-ups. One karaoke speaker and laptop acceptable

No Inflatables or Drones

No inflatable structures including bounce houses & photobooths. No drones are allowed in the park.

High Winds

Note the wind gusts are high and can change unexpectedly; please use extreme caution while using non-motorized water sporting equipment. Always remain aware of your surroundings and be considerate of other park patrons.

The newest state park in the system, Buffalo Harbor State Park is the first state park in the city of Buffalo. Boasting beautiful views of Lake Erie, the park is home to a 1,100 slip marina, a restaurant, boat launch, personal watercraft launches, fish cleaning station, restrooms, and a pier and boardwalk for strolling and sunbathing, and a nautical themed playground great for kids of all ages.

Pavilion Information

Buffalo Harbor has three pavilions available. Prices range from $100 to $150 and can accommodate 75 to 130 people. Check availability at ReserveAmerica.com. Note that DJ set-ups are not allowed at the shelters or in the park; and there is a noise ordinance in effect for the park. One karaoke speaker and a laptop for music are permitted.

Please Note: Swimming is currently not permitted. No Hunting.

Hours of Operation

  • The slip holder parking lot and boat launch/ trailer parking lot are open dawn to dusk.

    Gallagher, the Greenspace, Playground and Shelters are open from dawn to dusk
