Burn Ban
Please be advised that a burn ban is currently in effect as of Thursday, 10/2/2025, through Wednesday, 10/15/2025. Open flames of any kind, including ground fires and campfires, are prohibited. Please note that this ban does not include barbecue grills in designated picnic areas (Kanawauke, Silvermine, Tiorati and Welch) or contained campfires (must be in fireplaces or rings and less than 3ft in height and 4ft in width).

The Silver Mine area of Harriman State Park offers picnic grounds, fishing and hiking. Biking - helmets required.
Fishing - NYS fishing license required.
Launch Sites - Boat permit required.
Dogs only, must be on a leash not more than 6 feet at all times. Not allowed in buildings or beach/bathing areas. Must display rabies tag. Not permitted in the following areas of Harriman State Park: Beaver Pond Campground, Welch Beach, Sebago Cabins.

Fees & Rates
