Complete your annual instructor renewal survey here. This must be completed by March 15 of each year. Failure to complete this may result in the inactivation of your instructor certification.
If you are a volunteer instructor you must also manually sign and return your volunteer service agreement every year by March 15. You can email a scan or photo of this document to boating@parks.ny.gov or return it by mail.

Persons wishing to be certified to teach the NYSB program should complete this form and submit it to State Parks. Applicants should not
begin assisting in teaching the course until directed to do so.
Prospective Instructor Evaluation (pdf)
Prospective instructors must assist in teaching the NYSB Course four times prior to certification, and be evaluated each time by a
certified instructor, unless such requirements are waived. Please use this form should you be asked to evaluate a prospective
instructor.
Certified New York Safe Boating Instructors may order shirts, jackets, vests, and hats with the New York Safe Boating Logo. If you would like the item of apparel to say "Instructor" under the logo please write on the order form.

Rules and Regulations have been approved for the Boating Education Program Part 451 of Title 9 NYCRR on September 1, 2010.
