Night Stories by the Fire

Ghosts, ghouls and spirits aren't as scary as you might think! Sit fire-side and listen to tales and stories from different native American cultures about the ghosts and spirits of this world. S'mores provided. All ages welcome, leashed dogs as well (if they like sitting and listening to stories!). Meeting location will be the recreation hall at 8pm. Weather dependent. Walk-ups welcome. Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association Monthly Star Party

The Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association hosts a monthly stargazing party in the West Beach parking lot. Bring your own telescopes and binoculars or use those provided by our members. RSVP is required at least one day beforehand. You will be asked to provide your license plate number and make/model car, so Park Management and Police have a record of who will be in park after hours. Walkway at Night

The Friends of the Walkway nonprofit organization is pleased to welcome the community to enjoy amazing Hudson Valley views after dark from 212 feet above the Hudson River. With the stars hanging high in the sky and the Mid-Hudson Bridge twinkling in the distance, there is truly nothing like a moonlit evening on the World's Longest Elevated Pedestrian Bridge.

All attendees must RSVP in advance at walkway.org/walkwayatnight.

As always, Walkway members are welcome to attend at no cost. Non-members can register for $5. Members have been emailed a special discount code to use upon registration providing one complimentary admission to Individual members, and up to five complimentary admissions for Family members.

Sunset Hike at Rockwood

Come join us for a Sunset Hike at Rockwood Hall for what we hope will be a spectacular view over the Hudson and the Tappan Zee Bridge. Please dress according to weather conditions and bring water. We will gather at the main kiosk and will leave ON TIME. The parking lot is right below Phelps Hospital, off Route 117. The path that leads up to the park is across the street from the parking lot. Leashed dogs are welcome. In case of bad weather, the event may be canceled (including overcast skies when we know there will be no visible sunset). Please watch for notices from Eventbrite.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS HIKE IS AT ROCKWOOD HALL (1 Rockwood Road, Sleepy Hollow, NY) DO NOT GO TO THE MAIN PARK ENTRANCE!

Cost: $3 + Eventbrite fees. Maximum: 40 Participants.

Every month we give hikers an opportunity to experience the Preserve after dark in our "Full Moon Hike" series. Join us for this very popular and special event! Please bring water, a flashlight or headlamp, and dress according to weather conditions. Leashed dogs are welcome. Meet at the Visitor's Center courtyard.

IMPORTANT: We leave promptly at scheduled times. This is a night hike, after the park has officially closed. Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the park after the group has departed. In case of bad weather, the event may be canceled; please watch for notices from Eventbrite.

PLEASE NOTE: If you reserve tickets and cannot make it, we ask that you cancel your reservation through Eventbrite so the tickets may be made available to others who are wait-listed. Thank you for your cooperation. Cost: $3 + Eventbrite fees. Maximum: 40 Participants.

Join us under the Harvest Moon for an evening hike. Program is cancelled in the event of rain and begins under the flagpole. Appropriate hiking attire required; a backup flashlight is suggested in the event of an overcast sky.
