Lake Taghkanic State Park
The Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association hosts a monthly stargazing party in the West Beach parking lot. Bring your own telescopes and binoculars or use those provided by our members. You will be asked to provide your license plate number and make/model car, so Park Management and Police have a record of who will be in park after hours. Experience the Preserve after dark! Join Shayla, Hailey, and Dave for a 4-mile hike on carriage roads lit by moonlight. We walk at a brisk pace and there will be hills; some hiking experience is recommended. Leashed dogs are welcome. Max: 40 people. Cost: $4. RockefellerStateParkPreserve.org/events. the park! Join us for this full moon program as we hike through the park and
talk about all things nighttime like nocturnal animals and what goes on outside
while we sleep. We will be listening for nighttime animals, so being able to be
quiet and listen is very important! Because of this, this program is
recommended for ages 9+ to ensure everyone has a good experience. Please
