Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park
On Thursday, July 4, Walkway Over the Hudson will be open to ticket holders for an unobstructed view of the City of Poughkeepsie fireworks display. Spend the evening with friends and family taking in amazing twilight views 212 feet above the Hudson River before seeing the fireworks launch at eye level! Space is strictly limited at this event and tickets required for all attendees. Children 12 and under are free but must reserve a ticket online in advance for admittance.

Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park
The Friends of the Walkway nonprofit organization is pleased to offer the opportunity to enjoy amazing Hudson Valley views after dark from 212 feet above the Hudson River at Walkway at Night. With the moon hanging high in the sky and the Mid-Hudson Bridge twinkling in the distance, there is truly nothing like a twilight evening on the World's Longest Elevated Pedestrian Bridge. Our friends from the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association will be on-bridge with telescopes to view the night sky (weather permitting).Everyone must reserve a ticket for entry. Walkway members are welcome to attend at no cost. Non-members can register for $5.

The American Legion Post 739 organize and present monthly Flag Changing Ceremonies on the Walkway to honor our region's veterans and their service to our country. These events, organized and presented by these local veterans' organizations, are open to all who wish to attend.

This Walkway Talks event will explain a little of the history of La Guelaguetza, the music, dances, and food of the region of Oaxaca and provide visitors with a taste of the event and a costumed dance demonstration by members of Grupo Folclórico de Poughkeepsie. Felipe Santos, Festival Head Organizer, and members of La Guelaguetza committee, a diverse group of dedicated volunteers who work behind the scenes year-round to bring this vibrant, cultural event to the Hudson Valley. This event is free to attend and open to all.
