good for all abilities. This event is geared towards adults. Trail snacks

Geology Walk

Grafton Lakes State Park
Join local geologist, Dave
DeSimone, for a short trail loop discussing the basic geology of the park and
the surrounding Rensselaer Plateau. The story that shaped Grafton Lakes State
Park has two components. Circa 440-460 million years ago there was a major
mountain building event that formed the rocks. Subsequently, Pleistocene ice
sheets flowed across the Plateau multiple times over the past 2.5 million
years, molding the landscape into the gem it is today. This program requires no
background in geology, but is formatted for adults. Adults only. Free

artifacts. Come out the day before Halloween for some chills and thrills;
a perfect addition to a night out with friends! This event will be hosted at Rail to River Brewing
Co. in Ravena. Adults only. No
