3rd Saturday Treks
Saturday, June 15, 2019 10:00 AM
Allegany State Park - Red House Area
(716) 354-9121

Join the Friends of Allegany State Park for this month's Third Saturday Trek on June 15th. The hike will be led by two members of the Friends group; Kevin Gallineau and Jim Schwartzmyer. Participants will get to explore the France Brook area. Find out the location of the Hall Lumber Mill and the Hall trail. Learn about the wild turkey trap and transfer program, and the history of the family that settled the area. Hikers should come dressed for the weather with appropriate footwear (hiking boots are recommended). Portions of this hike may be off trail, so be prepared. Please meet on France Brook Rd. off ASP Rt. #2 (ASP site #28). We ask that cars are parked on the right side of the road. This will allow other vehicles to access the road.

Each hike will last approximately two hours. Registration is not required. For more information, visit the Allegany State Park Facebook page or contact the Environmental Education/Recreation Department at 716-354-9101 ext. 236 or
