The sap will be flowing and we'll have pancakes on the griddle, as TOEC hosts its annual Maple Sugar Celebration! The Taconic Outdoor Education Center will be hosting its 30th annual pancake breakfast, on March 1, 2025. This event has been popular for many years and is often referred to by locals as "Sap to Syrup". Enjoy some of the Hudson Valley's best syrup on fresh pancakes in a woodsy setting! Maple syrup artisan John Stowell calls his handy work "the best darn maple operation east of the Hudson". See live demonstrations of sugaring the sap into syrup in both traditional and modern methods! Children and adults will be fascinated by the free nature lectures being offered by experienced staff on site. This is a ticketed event that sells out fast: Please purchase your tickets early!
