Kayak Lesson: Beginners

Join an American Canoe Association certified kayak instructor to learn the basics of kayaking. We'll cover safety, equipment, and how to paddle forward, backward, turn and stop. Dress in clothes that will get wet (from splashes), wear sturdy shoes that will get wet when entering and exiting the kayak, wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle. Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets provided (you may bring your own life jacket). You may not bring your own kayak or paddle. Meet at the boathouse (1st west beach parking area).
