Walkway Talks: Where The Waters Are Never Still

Join Eddie Moran and Lindsay Dalton of Historic Huguenot Street for "Where the Waters are Never Still," a presentation on the relationship between people and local rivers in the late 17th century. Attendees will learn how Native people, European settlers, and enslaved and free Africans interacted with the Hudson River and its estuaries in the first decades after colonization.   Lindsay Dalton and Eddie Moran have overseen tours and education at Historic Huguenot Street for the last two years. Historic Huguenot Street is a ten-acre historic landmark district in New Paltz that aims to engage diverse audiences in the exploration of America's multicultural past to understand the historical forces that have shaped America. This event is free to attend and appropriate for guests of all ages.
