November Gallery Spotlight: Monica Cohen, Local Artist

During the month of November, Ellenville artist Monica Cohen will be exhibiting a collection of her paintings and drawings from the past two years. The exhibition will feature plein air paintings of locations throughout Ulster, Sullivan, and Orange County, and pen and ink drawings of iconic Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountain landmarks.Monica's oil paintings depict scenes from Sam's
Point Preserve, Bashakill Wildlife Refuge, Skinners Falls, Mohonk Gate, and
Lippman Park. She celebrates the beauty of nature across different seasons
through the use of expressive brushstrokes and a highly personal color palette.
Monica is an active member of the Coalition of Forward-Facing Ellenville
(COFFE) and the Borscht Belt Museum in Ellenville.
