Moths Under the Moonlight at Sam’s Point

Join Stewardship Coordinator, Olivia Castañeda, and Student Conservation Association/AmeriCorps Interns, Todd Padilla and Madison Cannella, in learning about moths and observing the variety of moth species that occur at Sam's Point Area after dark. Multiple light stations will be set up at the Sam's Point Visitor Center to attract moths for us to observe. This program will only take place at the Sam's Point Visitor Center; there is no hiking portion to this event. In addition, we will discuss moth biology and the reasons why we should protect them. We'll also demonstrate how you can make a moth habitat at home! Meet at the Sam's Point Visitor Center. Pre-registration is required by signing up via Eventbrite.
